Each academic dean presents their graduates to the chancellor which is followed by the official turning of tassels and the collective singing of the ECU Alma Mater.
There is also a keynote address and messages from the faculty and SGA President. Rogers will provide a welcome address to all graduates and families.
This ceremony includes a processional of all graduates onto the field – the first time ECU has been able to do this since Spring 2019 – and is the only ceremony Chancellor Philip Rogers presides over. You will receive detailed information about when and where specifically to report about one week before the ceremony (around April 30 th). Graduates should arrive no later than 8:30am to be able to participate in the processional on to the field. This means you can bring as many people as you want to celebrate at this ceremony with you.
